Your generosity ensures the Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC) remains a vibrant "home away from home" for our students. By giving to the GSRC, you aren't just maintaining a space—you are investing in the leadership, safety, and belonging of the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders at the University of Illinois.

Where Your Support Goes

  • A Modern Safe Haven: Upgrading facilities with the latest technology, audio-visual equipment, and accessible furniture.
  • Premier Programming: Funding the Quench (Lunch on Us) series, Speaking Queerly series, the We Are Everywhere artist showcase, and LGBTQ+ History Month.
  • Community Connection: Supporting outreach initiatives that bridge the gap between campus life and the broader Champaign-Urbana community.

Whether it’s a one-time gift or a major contribution, every dollar directly touches the lives of our students.

  • $15,000         Provides 20 students with a full leadership scholarship (covering registration, travel, and lodging) to a tend the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ Student Conference.

  • $10,000          Brings a marquee guest to campus for the Speaking Queerly Speaker Series or the We Are Everywhere Performer/Artist Series.

  • $6,000            Sponsors a full academic year of Quench (Lunch on Us), providing weekly meals and networking for approximately 50 students.

  • $5,000            Fully funds the GSRC’s Fall and Spring "Welcome Back" programs, ensuring new and returning students find their community from day one.

  • $2,500           Powers a full month of educational and cultural programming during LGBTQ+ History Month in October.

  • $1,500           Supports vital awareness and memorial events, including Trans Week of Visibility, Trans Day of Remembrance, and Trans Awareness Week.

  • $100                Provides a one-time supply of food for the GSRC pantry. Food insecurity is a significant challenge for many of our students; your gift ensures no one has to study on an empty stomach.

Your donation will go directly to the University of Illinois Foundation which then distributes the funds into the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center Fund's account. The Student Affairs Advancement Office notifies the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center of all financial contributions. The University of Illinois Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 organization, and as such, all gifts are tax deductible as allowed by law.
