Queer Campus Coalition (QCC)

The QCC is the official GSRC RSO affiliate program. Membership in QCC is open to all RSOs doing work connected to Queer issues, especially those tied to our 2SLGBTQ+ (Two-Spirited, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer), non-binary, and gender nonconforming Illini community. The goal of QCC is to aid in the organization of student-led campus efforts connected to our 2SLGBTQIA+ & Queer community. The QCC membership is formed of RSO presidents, vice presidents, and other RSO representatives. The QCC meets monthly to discuss Queer & 2SLGBTQIA+ student needs, programming, and leadership development.

A Space

A-Space is a safe space for members of the asexual and aromantic spectrum and their allies. Our meetings range from discussion topics to social meetings, to external activities, sometimes with other LGBTQ student groups. To learn more about A-Space, please email

Actually Neurodivergent

BlacQ Is a Black LGBTQIA+ student affiliated organization within the GSRC that will strive to provide a safe, creative, and liberating space for Black U of I students in the LGBTQIA+ community. Sign-up for updates here!

Campus Union for Trans* Equality and Support (CUTES)

Campus Union for Trans* Equality and Support (CUTES) is an organization dedicated to advocacy and support of transgender, genderqueer, gender fluid, nonbinary, and gender non-conforming students. CUTES helps bring important visibility to issues affecting trans* people on campus and works with other groups and offices to provide resources that help affirm its members’ gender identities. Entre Hermanas

Entre Hermanas is a program co-facilitated by La Casa Cultural Latina & The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center geared towards creating an inclusive community space for queer Latinas, gender non-conforming, and non-binary folks. We come together to empower, heal, and grow as one through open conversation, reflection, and bonding. Forging Unity, Solidarity, and Equity for QTPOC (FUSE)

FUSE is a safe space for questioning and queer and trans* people of color (QTPOC) to come destress and discuss different topics centered around intersectional identities. Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) at Illinois is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally professional society dedicated to the development and support of students in STEM. Bringing together networks of students and professionals in industry and academia, meetings consist of networking opportunities, career advice, social events, and advocacy of the LGBTQIA+ community. Queer Book Club

The Queer Book Club serves as a place to explore and discuss LGBTQ+ representation in media, with a specific focus on meaningful queer representation in literature. The Queer Book Club strives to provide opportunities for student connection and an accepting and supportive environment to discuss the diversity of queer experiences. The NetworQ is a group created to build and provide a supportive and safe community for the 2SLGBTQIA+ Graduate students at Illinois. 

Women of Pride

Women of Pride is a student group for all queer identities and allies that advocate for queer liberation and safe, supportive space to gather. We informally educate the campus community of cultural, political, and other social issues related to LGBTQ+ experiences. Ikenberry Rainbow Connection

IRC is a University Housing group that advocates for the LGBTQA community. We strive to provide social and emotional support for members of the LGBTQA community; establish a welcoming, learning, and caring environment through discourse regarding LGBTQA issues; and educate and build awareness of LGBTQA issues throughout the Ikenberry Commons Residence Hall Areas. Q is Allen Hall's discussion group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally students. Q offers a safe space and a new family for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or ally students. We engage in thoughtful conversations and provide educational programming for Allen Hall.
