The Jeffries Center Student Success Advisor

Every Tuesday, 1 - 3 pm

Our focus is to assist students with their transition to Illinois and helping them get acclimated. When students meet with a Student Success Advisor, they will be encouraged to make decisions that support their goals, abilities, and successful degree completion. Students will be positively influenced to get involved on campus and exposed to preprofessional opportunities that will lead to enhanced student success.

The Career Center Coaches

1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 2:30 - 4:30 pm

Need career advice? The Career Center is teaming up with the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center to bring you easy access to personalized career coaching! Stop by our drop-in sessions at the Gender & Sexuality Resource Center for help with choosing a major, landing internships, perfecting your resume or cover letter, and even planning for grad school or your post-college job search.

We also offer on-the-spot reviews of resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles. No appointment needed—just bring your questions or a copy of your documents, and we’ll be ready to help!

The Connie Frank CARE (Coordination, Assistance, Response, and Education) Center

2nd and 4th Thursdays, 2 - 3:30 pm

During embedded office hours at the GSRC, a Connie Frank CARE Center Student Support Case Manager can help you solve problems, plan, and provide connections to the proper resources on campus.

Stop by to help get answers to any questions you may have about campus, a university process, or support in the surrounding area.

Counseling Center's Queer & Allies Consultation Hours

April 7th, April 21st, and May 5th, 1 - 2 pm

The Counseling Center’s Queers & Allies team will be providing consultation hours at the GSRC. During the consultation hour, Q&A members will provide support, insight, and information about the Counseling Center, campus, and community resources pertinent to LGBTQIA+ students. Come and connect with counseling center staff to discuss the best options for your mental health and wellbeing needs.
